DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & PATIENT RECRUITMENT

COR is now accepting applications from local marketing professionals to fill the position of Director of Marketing and Patient Recruitment. The position’s primary goal is to design and administer campaigns to recruit patients into clinical research studies. While most general marketing principles apply to patient recruitment, each clinical study has a unique target audience, budget and set of goals. The Director must be capable of conceiving and managing multiple distinct campaigns simultaneously.

The ideal candidate is a consummate professional, quick to learn and hungry for challenges. One must be organized, systematic and highly creative. Communication skills are paramount and are applied in virtually all media. The Director must craft messages that are sensitive to legal and ethical codes, yet compelling to audiences. Personal networking and closing skills also serve this individual well. Most of all, the Director must be able, when given an objective, to follow it through to completion with minimal assistance.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Developing multi-dimensional marketing plans for ongoing and upcoming studies
  • Composing effective ads for broadcast, print and online media
  • Composing and distributing news releases
  • Maintaining CORClinical.com
  • Crafting and proofreading scripts, letters and other messages to be used by the COR recruitment team
  • Managing campaigns in social media (e.g. Facebook, YouTube)
  • Placing/buying ads in a wide range of media
  • Tracking and reporting ROI
  • Light bookkeeping
  • Maintaining documented communications with representatives of research studies’ sponsors and review boards
  • Calling and visiting medical personnel to motivate patient referrals
  • Representing COR at community events and trade shows
  • Public presentations to groups

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree (If degree is incomplete, two years of relevant work history may substitute for one year of school)
  • Writing samples (Prior ads and marketing communications are preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communications, customer service, marketing and sales strategies
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS image editing applications

Experience preferred but not required:

  • Medical field or with medical terminology
  • Media buying (Oklahoma City market)
  • Basic website editing (HTML helpful) and online media
  • Graphic design or art direction
  • QuickBooks

Salary is commensurate with education, prior experience, and demonstrated, long-term commitment to meeting COR’s marketing objectives.
