Type 2 diabetes on metformin

If you are a type 2 diabetic who currently uses metformin, you may be eligible to participate in this clinical research study.  The study is designed to look at medication options for diabetes patients.

Study duration is up to approximately 6 months and involves about 7 visits to our clinic.

Basic Entry Qualifications:

1. * Adult at least 18 years of age
2. * Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 6 months
3. * Take 1500mg of metformin daily (or 1000mg max tolerated dose) alone, or with other oral anti-diabetics
4. * Have never taken insulin (for more than 14 days at one time)

Participants who qualify will receive study-related care, lab tests, and study medication at no charge.  You may also be reimbursed for transportation expenses.
