CURRENT RESEARCH STUDIES
Type 2 Diabetes on Insulin (29305)
If you are a Type 2 Diabetic who has been using insulin for less than five years, you may be eligible to participate in this clinical research study. The study is designed to improve treatment options so that diabetes patients may control their symptoms and avoid future health complications.
Study duration is approximately 32 weeks, involving about 14 visits to our clinic.
Basic Entry Qualifications:
- * Between ages 18-75
- * Type 2 Diabetic (confirmed diagnosis)
- * Currently taking insulin for no longer than 5 years (i.e. not before 2006)
- * Currently taking only one kind of insulin and no combinations (for example, Lantus or NPH without concurrent Humalog N, Regular Insulin, etc.)
Participants who qualify will receive study-related care, lab tests, nutritional advice, study medication and diabetes education all at no charge. You may also be reimbursed for transportation expenses.
