Diabetic - No Treatment(Grant #29292)

Are you a Type 2 Diabetic not currently taking anti-diabetic medication? This research study is for patients on no anti-diabetic medication or who are treating their diabetes through diet and exercise only and are still not achieving adequate glycemic control. This study is researching the effectiveness and safety of taking an investigational insulin  to acheive better glycemic control.

All study related care and study medication will be provided at no charge to those who qualify and a small compensation for time and travel expenses will be provided.

This study is approximately 1 year long and would require approximately 19 visits.

Entry Qualifications:

1. *  Be at least 18 years of age with a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes
2. *  Not taking any anti-diabetic medication or ineffectively treating diabetes with diet and  exercise
